A lot of people have been complaining that they aren’t able to watch the EBS show, “Basic Korean for Foreigners”, because it’s being shown in EBS Plus 2 channel (cable tv) and some areas are not able to reach the said channel.

Since the show is doing good, EBS decided that  they will now televise the show from the EBS TV channel (Channel 13), which can be viewed anywhere within Korea, starting this week :)

It will now be shown twice a day on different channels.

The new schedule will be as follows:

Basic Korean for Foreigners

EBS TV (channel 13)

  • Mondays(Chinese) 6:00~6:30 am
  • Tuesdays(Vietnamese) 6:00~6:30 am
  • Wednesdays(Filipino/Tagalog) 6:00~6:30 am

There will also be re-runs on the same day on:

EBS Plus 2 (cable channel) (the channel will depend on your area and cable provider)

  • Mondays(Chinese) 4:30~5:00 pm
  • Tuesdays(Vietnamese) 4:30~5:00 pm
  • Wednesdays(Filipino/Tagalog) 4:30~5:00 pm

I actually didn’t have any idea how the show’s been doing until they announced the timeslot and channel change.  And during our publicity trip, I was surprised when some of the people I met said that they actually wake up as early as 6am to be able to watch the show~! :) Hopefully we get enough positive response for the intermediate course.

BTW, if you missed the show on TV you can always go to our website to view all the past episodes as well as to download the study material for each episode.

Thanks everyone!
